ASML: it is estimated that the chip capacity will still be in short supply by 2023

Time:2022-04-22 Views:2110
ASML, a European semiconductor production equipment manufacturer, said on Wednesday local time that there is no sign of slowing demand at present. There will still be a serious shortage of chip production capacity this year and next year. The company is trying to cope with its own supply restrictions and provide sufficient equipment for global chip manufacturers.

According to reports, ASML CEO Peter wennink pointed out at the financial report meeting that despite the uncertainty caused by the current macroeconomic environment, ASML continues to see unprecedented demand for advanced and mature chip manufacturing technology from customers in all market segments. At present, we do not see any sign of weakening of our customer base. Even if the demand weakens, there is a huge gap between the demand and our production capacity.

Wennink said that due to capacity constraints, ASML can only meet about 60% of its demand for deep UV lithography.
