In March, global semiconductor sales reached US $50.6 billion, up 1.1% month on month. According to the data disclosed by the semiconductor industry association (SIA), the sales in the first quarter of 2022 totaled US $151.7 billion, a slight decrease of 0.5% month on month, but a year-on-year increase of 23%.

In addition to the year-on-year growth in sales in the Americas, sales in Europe (25.7%), Japan (20.4%), Asia Pacific / all other regions (17.9%) and China (17.3%) also increased compared with March 2021). Sales in Asia Pacific / all other regions (2.9%), Europe (2.6%), Japan (1.4%) and China (1.0%) increased month on month, but decreased slightly in the Americas (- 1.5%).
