On October 31, BOE A announced yesterday that its holding subsidiary, Beijing BOE Chuangyuan Technology Co., Ltd., plans to invest in the construction of the sixth generation new semiconductor display device production line project using LTPO technology in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, focusing on the layout of VR display product market, further enriching the company‘s product structure, and consolidating the company‘s leading position in the semiconductor display industry.
According to the announcement, the project covers an area of 630 mu, with a total floor area of 608924 square meters. It mainly produces high-end display products such as VR display panel, MiniLED direct display backplane, etc. The construction period of the project is from 2023 to 2025, with mass production in 2025 and full production in 2026. The total investment of the project is 29 billion yuan.
It is learned that BOE Technology Group has also released the latest financial results. In the third quarter, BOE‘s revenue was 41.134 billion yuan, down 26.79% year on year; The net profit attributable to the parent company was 1.305 billion yuan, down 118.01% year on year. In the first three quarters of 2022, BOE‘s revenue was 132.744 billion yuan, down 19.45% year on year; Net profit attributable to parent company was 5.291 billion yuan, down 73.75% year on year.
