On January 4, it was reported by Taiwan media that Hongteng Precision Technology (FIT), a subsidiary of Hon Hai, today announced its 100% acquisition of German automotive wire harness factory PRETTL SWH Group for 186 million euros (about 1.373 billion yuan), expanding the strength of key components of electric vehicles, and expected to complete the acquisition process in the second quarter.
Hongteng said that this acquisition could bring about an annual revenue contribution of about 350 million euros (about 2.583 billion yuan) to 400 million euros (about 2.952 billion yuan) for Hongteng in the short term. In the future, it is expected to create a better product portfolio, improve Hongteng‘s overall gross margin, and expand Hongteng‘s global manufacturing, sales and technology layout in key components of electric vehicles.
It is reported that the sensor department, vehicle power management department and connector data transmission system department of the three major departments of PRETTL SWH Group correspond to the current development direction of Hongteng‘s electric vehicle strategy "power management, Internet of Vehicles and human-computer interface".
It is learned that PRETTL SWH Group is headquartered in Pufulingen, Germany, and has 18 branches in more than 10 countries and regions around the world, with about 8000 professional employees worldwide.
