On January 13, according to China.com, on January 13, the State Administration for Reform and Reform held a press conference on how to ensure the energy supply and ensure the warm winter. Zhang Jianhua, Director of the National Energy Administration, said that in 2022, the new installed capacity of wind power and photovoltaic will be more than 120 million kilowatts, and the cumulative installed capacity will be more than 700 million kilowatts, driving the installed capacity of renewable energy to exceed 1.2 billion kilowatts. The wind power and photovoltaic industry has become one of the most competitive industries.
With the continuous expansion of the installed scale of wind power and photovoltaic power generation, the role of wind power and photovoltaic power in energy supply assurance is becoming more and more obvious. First, wind power photovoltaic has become the main body of new installed capacity in China. According to statistics, in 2022, the new installed capacity of wind power PV accounted for 78% of the new installed capacity of the country; Second, wind power photovoltaic power generation has become the main body of new electricity generation in China. In 2022, the newly-added wind power and photovoltaic power generation will account for more than 55% of the newly-added power generation in the country. Third, the role of wind power and photovoltaic power generation in ensuring supply is becoming more and more obvious. According to the dispatching data of the power grid company, the average output of wind power photovoltaic power generation in most regions of the country will account for about 15% of the average power load in 2022, with a maximum of 40%. During the peak season in 2022, the average output coefficient of photovoltaic power in Jiangsu, Shandong, Zhejiang and other major provinces with installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation reached 0.5 during the noon peak period, which strongly supported the safe supply of energy.
Zhang Jianhua also said that at present, China has 53 nuclear power units in operation with an installed capacity of 55.57 million kilowatts, accounting for nearly 5% of the power generation; There are 28 units approved to be under construction with an installed capacity of 32.72 million kilowatts, which are under steady construction. Over the years, China‘s nuclear power units have maintained a good safety record, and there have been no operational events affecting the environment and public safety. The main operational indicators have always maintained the international advanced level.
