TDK introduces S2 safety class ultra-compact motor operating capacitor

    TDK Group (Tokyo Stock Exchange code: 6762) plans to launch the new EPCOS B33331I6 * series compact motor operating capacitor in September 2023. The safety level of the new series of capacitors is up to S2, meeting the IEC 60335-2-24 standard, and adopting the ultra-compact aluminum tank design, it is expected to become the most compact motor operating capacitor on the market at present. The diameter of aluminum tank of capacitor is only 30 mm or 35 mm; The height (including connection) ranges from 73 mm to 103 mm, depending on the capacitance value. The new series has up to 13 models to choose from. The design working voltage is 450 V AC @ 50/60 Hz, and the coverage capacitance range is 1 µ F to 20 µ F.
    The new series of capacitors are self-healing, filled with resin, with built-in overvoltage disconnection protection. The design service life is 10000 hours @ 450 V AC, the standard terminal is 2+2 quick connector (6.3 mm x 0.8 mm), and can be customized according to customer specifications. In addition, we will also provide models with M8 bolts at the bottom of the shell. All models of the new series of capacitors have passed UL, VDE and CE certification.
    These motor operating capacitors have a wide range of applications. Typical applications are air compressor motors for refrigerators and freezers, and industrial pumps.
