Diodes has launched a current splitter detector that meets automotive specifications, enabling high-precision voltage sensing on electric vehicles

Time:2023-08-10 Views:672
Diodes Corporation (Nasdaq: DIOD) has launched a series of high-precision current shunt detectors suitable for measuring small sensing voltages across a wide common mode voltage range on electric vehicles (EVs). The product name is the ZXCT21xQ series. The automotive industry applications of this series of single stage instrument amplifiers include current sensing of load/rail current in brushless direct current (BLDC) motor controllers, electric compressors, high-power DC-DC converters, on-board chargers (OBCs), battery management systems (OBCs), ADAS power supplies, and mobile phone cordless chargers.
The Zero Drift core of these devices (typical value ± 100nV/° C) has a low compensation voltage of ± 30 μ V) With gain errors of ± 0.5% and ± 0.8%, the current sensing function of the shunt can be achieved, and the maximum voltage can be reduced to 10mV (full scale). Therefore, sensing resistors with small resistance values can be used for high-precision monitoring of large current values while reducing power loss during the measurement process. In addition, the static current consumption of this series of products is relatively low, with a maximum of only 100 μ A. It also helps to minimize power consumption.
This series of current detectors has a rail to rail common mode sensing voltage range of 0-26V (regardless of supply voltage), which can achieve precise current measurement on both high and low sides. Its REF pin can achieve bidirectional current measurement. The ZXCT21xQ series offers six voltage gain options (50V/V, 75V/V, 100V/V, 200V/V, 500V/V, and 1000V/V), each with a separate order number and three accuracy versions.
All ZXCT21xQ series devices comply with the AEC-Q100 Grade 1 specification, are manufactured by IATF 16949 certified facilities, and support PPAP files. The operating temperature range of each device is -40 ° C to+125 ° C, and it is packaged using industry standard SOT363.
