Xidi Micro launches dual LDO charging chips suitable for smartwatches and TWS charging boxes

Time:2023-09-02 Views:628
With the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle and the continuous development of intelligent technology, wearable devices have gradually become an indispensable part of people‘s lives. When using wearable devices, power management issues are often challenging, especially for devices such as smartwatches and TWS charging boxes. Therefore, consumers urgently need a more efficient charging solution to ensure the stable operation of the device and extend its usage time.
In order to meet the needs of consumers, China‘s leading analog chip manufacturer - Xidi Microelectronics Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Xidi Micro") has announced the launch of an I2C controlled single battery charging management chip with two LDOs - HL7095. HL7095, with its excellent performance, provides users with a more efficient and convenient charging experience, truly realizing the intelligence and reliability of power management.
1、 Product Description
HL7095 is a highly integrated I2C interface switch mode lithium-ion battery charging chip that integrates power FET, power path management, and reverse boost function, suitable for various devices, including wearable devices, smartphones, tablets, mobile power supplies, and other portable electronic products. Its switch mode operation and low resistance power path ensure optimal charging, discharging, and boosting efficiency, significantly reducing battery charging time and extending battery discharge time.
HL7095 supports various input sources, such as standard USB host ports, USB charging ports, and AC-DC adapters. It accepts an input voltage of 3.9V to 12V, allowing it to power the system power rail without the need for a battery. Whether equipped with an I2C host or not, the HL7095 can independently manage the entire charging cycle of lithium-ion batteries. It can effectively detect battery voltage and follow four charging stages: trickle charging, pre charging, constant current charging, and constant voltage charging.
The HL7095 has a low-power reverse boost function and can provide programmable outputs of 4V to 10.3V on VBUS/PMID, thereby improving convenience and versatility. The HL7095 supports USB OTG mode and accessory mode, enabling the battery to provide up to 1A load current. In addition, the HL7095 also has two LDOs that can use VBUS through QRB in accessory mode, or directly power accessories such as headphones or LEDs from PMID through reverse boost.
2、 Product advantages
2.1. Wider input working voltage helps improve power efficiency and achieve energy-saving. The HL7095 can support a wide input working voltage of 3.9-12V, which can meet the needs of different fast charging scenarios. This not only improves the reliability, stability, and efficiency of the power supply, but also saves electricity, reduces power loss, and reduces the failure rate of the power supply.
2.2. Dual LDO integration upgrade, enabling lightweight and portability requirements. The HL7095 integrates two LDOs to power accessories such as headphones or LEDs, making it an ideal choice for small wearable devices. This product effectively simplifies system design, achieves lightweight and portability of wearable devices, and brings users a more convenient and flexible user experience.
2.3. Innovate power management technology to effectively extend battery life. HL7095 helps the battery to quickly charge with a charging voltage accuracy of+/-0.5% and a step value of 10mV. HL7095 can significantly prolong the device‘s usage time and significantly reduce battery power consumption in both low static power consumption transportation mode and efficient reverse boost mode, thus more effectively solving the power management issues of wearable devices.
3、 Looking Forward to the Future
David Nam, General Manager of Xidi Micro, said, "The HL7095 is a configurable battery management IC that integrates a switch charger, a reverse booster, and two LDOs." He continued, "The HL7095 has a lower static current and smaller solution size, making it perfect for smartphone and wearable device applications. It is a highly integrated multifunctional charging solution“
