BMR314 ultra small digital non isolated IBC with 4 compare 1 conversion ratio

Time:2023-09-23 Views:583
Flex Power Modules has announced the launch of a new product BMR314, which is a non isolated DC/DC converter with a fixed 4:1 down conversion ratio suitable for intermediate bus applications. This product is a high power density component that can provide 800 W continuous power and 1.5 kW peak power. It adopts industry standard ultra small packaging, and its size is only 23.4 x 17.8 x 9.6 millimeters. The input voltage range of the product is 38-60 VDC (peak 68 VDC), and the output voltage range is 9.5-15 VDC.
The BMR314 uses a controller jointly developed by Flex Power Modules and leading semiconductor manufacturer Onsemi, targeting applications such as powering load point (PoL) converters for AI and data communication centers. In such application scenarios, high peak loads may occur, and space is extremely limited, making energy conservation crucial. Thanks to the peak efficiency of BMR314 reaching 97.4% and the thin packaging design optimized for cold wall cooling, all of this has been achieved. The BMR314 provides an output current of up to 70 A and has comprehensive protection against overheating, input undervoltage, and output overcurrent, overvoltage, and short circuit. This product is available through PMBus ® The interface provides comprehensive control and monitoring for you, and is supported by Flex Power Designer software tools, making it easy for you to configure, simulate, and monitor performance.
According to the calculation standard of Telcordia SR-332 Issue 4 Method 1, the MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) of BMR314 at+40 ° C is 7.49 million hours. This product can operate within the temperature range of -20 ° C to+125 ° C at designated hot spot locations, and provides timed warnings and over temperature shutdown to ensure minimum stress, especially under peak load conditions.
The BMR314 adopts industry standard packaging and pin arrangement, with LGA terminals, and can be used as surface mount devices. This product meets the safety requirements of IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 standard for non isolated converters, and meets the "Class B" conducted EMI (electromagnetic interference) limitation requirements of EN 55032/CISPR 32/FCC standard Part 15J under the condition of an external simple filter. If you need a higher power level, you can consider the released BMR313, which uses the same packaging.
David Xie, Director of R&D and Product Management at Flex Power Modules in Shanghai, commented that our new BMR314 IBC DC/DC can help you reduce the size, weight, and cost of critical data center applications while also providing the flexibility to safely handle peak loads
BMR314 has already provided samples and is planned to be put into mass production in the fourth quarter of 2023.
