Grand Union World Peace Group launches automotive headlight solutions based on onsemi, NXP and ams OSRAM products

    On April 16, 2024, Great United Holdings, a leading international distributor of semiconductor components in the Asia Pacific market, announced that Its company launched onsemi NCV78702, NCV78723, NCV70517 chips, NXP S32K144 MCU and ams OSRAM KW H2L531.TE, KW CELNM2.TK Automotive headlight solutions for LED products.

    In recent years, with the continuous upgrading of consumer requirements for the appearance and performance of automobiles, the design and innovation of automotive headlights have also ushered in broad prospects for development. As an indispensable part of the vehicle, the performance of the headlight system is not only directly related to night driving safety, but also reflects the level of vehicle design and quality of an important symbol. Based on onsemi NCV78702 BOOST chip, NCV78723 Buck chip, NCV70517 motor driver chip, NXP S32K144 MCU and ams OSRAM KW H2L531.TE, KW CELNM2.TK The automotive headlight solution of LED products can ensure the high efficiency and reliability of the lighting system, and improve the safety of drivers at night.

    The car headlight scheme consists of four parts: LED driver board, MCU board, Motor board and LED board. Among them, the LED driver board ON the NCV78702 and NCV78723 as the core. NCV78702 is a highly efficient BOOST chip for LED drivers, which is designed for high-current leds and can be configured with output voltage via SPI. The NCV78723 is an efficient Buck dual LED driver with 2 built-in independent current regulators for diagnostic functions required for LED strings and automotive headlights, and the chip does not require any external detection resistance to regulate the buck current. And the output current can be customized by SPI. The NCV78702 is paired with the NCV78723 to drive multiple LED strings up to 60V.
    In the MCU board part, the solution takes NXP S32K144 MCU as the core, based on the Echoes board design of World Ping Group, and controls the LED driver board through SPI communication. S32K144 MCU with ARM? Cortex?  The M0+/ M4F core supports a maximum of 256KB RAM and 2MB Flash, and the maximum operating frequency can reach 112MHz, providing a strong guarantee for real-time control and data processing.
    In the Motor board section, the NCV70517 from ON is the core, NCV70517 is a micro stepper motor driver. The chip is connected to an external microcontroller via an I/O pin and SPI interface. The NCV70517 uses a proprietary PWM algorithm for reliable current control, meets automotive voltage requirements, and has a safety monitoring function, such as detecting electrical errors, undervoltage or junction temperature rise, the chip will alert.
    The design of the LED board uses ams OSRAM KW H2L531.TE, KW CELNM2.TK LED, which meets the requirements of vehicle applications.

    In the process of continuous innovation in automotive technology, this automotive headlight solution can provide drivers with higher safety and driving comfort. In the future, the General Assembly will continue to promote the progress of automotive lighting technology and contribute more to the prosperity and development of the automotive industry.
