Diodes Corporation (Nasdaq: DIOD) has launched a new multifunctional single channel high side power switch. AP22980 can choose from three different voltage conversion rates, allowing it to handle a wider range of capacitive loads while maintaining low surge currents to ensure system stability. The solid-state data storage system used for portable electronic devices, computer hardware, and edge data center deployment is very suitable for using this power switch.
AP22980 has an N-channel MOSFET, built-in charge pump, and an extremely low Rds (ON) of only 5.1m Ω, making it possible to achieve 6A in high current load applications and significantly reduce voltage drop and power loss. This component has an independent bias voltage (VBIAS) pin, which significantly reduces the minimum input voltage supported, thereby expanding the input voltage range (applicable from 0.285V to 5.5V) and increasing application flexibility.
AP22980 (typical) has a static supply current of 60 µ A. If reducing standby power consumption is the first requirement, then this product is the best choice.
